PFAS Testing in Soil & Water
Drinking-water EPA 533/537.1 and environmental-media EPA 1633 address different defined matrices and target lists. Ask for matrix-specific validation, analytes and reporting limits; no targeted method measures every PFAS.
Trace-level collection needs the laboratory's instructions, appropriate containers, blanks and controls against contamination. Soil, surface water and treated drinking water should not share an assumed universal protocol.
Total fluorine screening is not equivalent to compound-specific PFAS quantification. Agree the jurisdiction, programme and reporting requirements before comparing quotations.
