Soil Contamination Assessment
Define the decision: garden/yard lead investigation, contaminated-land assessment or waste classification need different sampling plans and interpretation. Soil total metals, extractable metals and leachability results are not interchangeable.
Agree sampling locations, depth, discrete versus composite samples and laboratory preparation before collection. A garden nutrient kit does not establish absence of lead or other contaminants; confirmatory analysis needs suitable methods and reporting limits.
For US lead-programme assessments check applicable EPA NLLAP-recognized soil scope. Use qualified site professionals for contaminated-land interpretation and hazardous sampling; one sample does not certify an entire property safe.
