Flammability Testing — 16 CFR 1610
16 CFR Part 1610 concerns clothing-textile flammability in the United States. Product-specific rules for children's sleepwear or other categories can differ; establish intended use, age range and construction before selecting a test.
Fabric surface, raised fibres, finishing, laundering and conditioning affect the test configuration. Provide production-representative specimens and instructions for preparation; do not infer all finished garments comply from one unrelated fabric test.
Confirm applicable regulation and method version with the provider. A burn demonstration or home kit is not a substitute for controlled testing and the required documentation.
