Laboratory pricing checklist (no invented market rates)

We deliberately publish no price ranges: reliable public market rates for laboratory tests do not exist across methods and regions. Build your price from your own costs, then add margin and risk.

Direct costs per sample

Include everything your method and quality system require, such as calibration with documented traceability [1] and the quality-control activities ISO/IEC 17025 expects for assuring result validity [2].

Overheads to allocate

Accreditation fees and assessments, proficiency testing, method verification, licences for standards you must buy from publishers [3], insurance, software and facility costs.

Quote terms

State minimum charges, rush handling, retests, method development and data retention clearly. Do not promise guaranteed turnaround unless you can control every step, and review each request before pricing it [2].
