Standards and methods change agent: ISO, ASTM, AOAC, USP and CLSI

Methods change. This hub explains how each organisation publishes changes, where to watch, and what a laboratory should do before switching editions. We summarise only publicly available information and link the official source.

Why tracking matters

ISO/IEC 17025 expects laboratories to use the latest valid edition of a method unless inappropriate, and to verify methods before use [1]. A missed revision can invalidate a quote or a report.

Our monitoring scope

Laboratory Vortex watches a curated set of ISO deliverables through ISO open data [2] and reviews other sources manually. It is not a complete feed; nothing is published without editorial review.

Practical guidance for independent laboratory owners. Laboratory Vortex does not accredit, certify or audit laboratories, does not sell standards and provides no access to copyrighted standard texts.
