IEC 61326-1 EMC Testing Laboratories
IEC 61326-1 is the general EMC standard for electrical equipment for measurement, control and laboratory use, and it is the base document for parts addressing specific equipment types including in vitro diagnostic equipment.
When is it used?
- Laboratory instruments, analysers and benchtop measurement equipment
- IVD instruments assessed with the equipment-specific part
- Process control and industrial measurement equipment
Sample considerations
- Define the performance criteria the instrument must maintain during immunity exposure.
- Provide representative sample handling, reagents or simulators so the instrument can be exercised realistically.
- Confirm whether an equipment-specific part applies in addition to the general document.
