Home & Environmental Testing
Plan drinking-water, well-water, indoor-air, radon and soil inquiries; distinguish screening kits, laboratory analysis and professional inspection. Laboratory Vortex coordinates requests to independent providers; it does not perform testing or certify homes safe.
Choose the question before the test
Tell us the property location, water source or material, concern and intended decision. A screening kit measures only its stated targets. Laboratory analysis measures defined analytes in submitted samples; professional inspection assesses building conditions, collection locations and hazards. These services can complement each other but are not interchangeable.
Water, air and land
- Drinking water: source-specific microbial, metals and organic testing; private wells need their own testing plan.
- Lead, arsenic and PFAS: analyte-specific methods, reporting limits and laboratory-approved collection kits.
- Indoor air and mold: assess moisture and building conditions first; sampling may not be necessary.
- Radon: a dedicated measurement in the occupied property, not a general indoor-air laboratory panel.
- Soil, lead dust and suspected asbestos: choose matrix-specific analysis and qualified collection where disturbance can create exposure.
What Laboratory Vortex coordinates
We help describe requests and identify independent laboratories or inspection providers. We do not perform analyses, diagnose illness, certify a property safe or guarantee provider availability. Compare qualifications for the exact matrix, method and jurisdiction; use the receiving provider's collection instructions.
